Description
The very popular Fiddleford weirpool and the river upstream from the weir - the Sowley stretch
The rolling bay into the weirpool with built-in fish pass and eel passes
The weirpool with the hatches opposite - the hatches are normally left closed.
Very popular all season long, the weirpool at Fiddleford holds chub to over 6lbs, bream up to 9lbs and lots of quality roach, dace and perch with the occasional tench as well. A good venue for the pike anglers during the winter with many double-figure specimens being caught every year

Description
The middle reach of the Sowley stretch looking upstream
And looking downstream....
With the upstream and downstream ends having water between 6 and 10 ft deep and the middle section up to 14ft deep this area offers all our main species. The upstream and downstream ends offer all the usual species with a good head of chub under the trees on the far bank. In the deeper areas there are lots of skimmers, perch and roach with the  chance of proper bream - if the conditions are right; best for the bream when the water is slightly up and a bit coloured.
