Sowley/Fiddleford and Downstream
There is good parking near the mill (Navy Arrow). To access Sowley (left bank upstream) walk past the mill and over the weir, a further bridge leads to the reach. Turning right after the weir leads to the footbridge (Black Bridge) and eventually the lower limit on the left hand bank at Wesper Brook. There is also the Railway Path from the Sturminster to Black Bridge, a level walk of 1 mile.
To fish the right hand bank below fiddleford go over a stile below the carpark.
Alternatively use an unmade lane off the road (Teal Arrow
on eastern edge of map above)
to the east of the stream road bridge, where there is a new car park.
Please keep the gate closed.
Effectively one can walk on this bank to Hammoon.
