Results Season 2009/2010

4th September 2009

Sturminster & Hinton AA juniors visited Cowslip farm last week all catching but unusually finding fish hard to come by. First on the day was Cameron Vinning with 3lb1oz, second was Jordan Coultard with 3lb and third was Joshua Hunt with 2lb 7oz. .

A Junior match was held at Durrant on Saturday 18th July. In first place was Cameron Vinning with a mixed bag of roach, perch and dace for 2lbs 6ozs. Second was Luke Andrews with a bag of roach for 1lbs 6 ounces and third place was taken by Todd Vinning with 15ounces. The next match will be on the August 1st at Fiddleford. Results Season 2005/2006

9 July 2005

The second match of the season was held at Highbench today, fishing from 9.30 am - 12.30pm. The winner was Oliver Hall on 7lb 7oz, 2nd was Phillip Taylor with 5lb 2oz, 3rd Olivier Taylor (this future champion is only 6) with 4lb 10.5oz.

Prizes were presented by Keith Goddard and our thanks go to Brian Preston who found some useful equipment to donate.

26 June 2005 The match held today produced some good weights at Highbench. 1st Oliver Hall 9lb 2oz including a bream of 1lb 3.5, 2nd Olivier Taylor 8lb 10oz, 3rd Phillip Taylor 2lb 7oz.

Unfortunately it has not possible to run matches for juniors during the season as there was no one available to take on the post of Junior Match Secretary following the resignation of Steve Dimmer.

In a close race over the series, the results as follows:

Over 12's 1st Oliver Hall 460 pts, 2nd Matt Ellis 458 pts, 3rd Tom Dimmer 455 pts

In the younger group there was no catching the champion.

Under 12's 1st George Sims 450 pts, Andrew Bastable 149 pts, 3rd James Lewis 146 pts

27 Sept The guys were at Highbench today and whilst the fish were not particularly co-operative Steve reports that there will be another match at the Brickyard on Saturday 25 October - these kids are keen and well done to Steve for keeping the interest as the days get shorter.

6 Sept - Lodden Lake fishing with Gillingham Juniors. 7 fished from Stur but were out fished by by 5 of the 'locals' 22lb 7oz to 12lb 11oz.

11 fished on a pleasant cloudy evening in swims kindly cleared out by Ian Paulley and Nigel Bartlett. Generally the fish were not particularly cooperative even to some of the 'older' junior helpers.

Bagber Brickyard 26 July 2-5pm - 8 fished on this very wet afternoon with everyone catching and two carp over 5lbs taken. Photos and weights below. Fantastic!
