Our Club Secretary, Simon McCreary, is stepping down and we are looking for a
suitable person to take over this important role.
The main criterion is the governance of the Club and its general oversight of the
interests of the membership. These include:-
Holding monthly committee meetings, producing notes and actions.
Familiarity with IT eg. emails, pdf docs, spreadsheets. The Clubmate facility we
use for our website and membership is bespoke and arrangements will be made to
familiarise the new Secretary with this system, as will any assistance that is needed
for him/her to become full effective.
Although not onerous, there is a need to commit time to the role with the ability to
represent the Club in an outfacing role dealing with a wide variety of people and
interests.
Simon remains a member of the Club and is happy to share his knowledge and
