Jack Hargreaves in this episode of Old Country talks about how the reason for fishing has changed since he was young. Jack then visits Fiddleford Mill about one mile east of Sturminster Newton on the River Stour in Dorset to try his hand at catching a chub.

The Fiddleford pool turbine swim can be productive if the conditions are right.  Here the water is running low on November 1st 2019 and the swim was fishing well. More often in the autumn and winter it is a raging torrent
