IMPORTANT NOTICE – Due to the extremely low water levels, Mappowder Lakes are now closed until further notice.
The recent Riverfest & Pairs Matches raised £500 for the club via entry fees. These proceeds go towards maintaining the SH&AA waters to a high standard, for the benefit of all club members.
Fishing Tackle wanted. Mike Cullen sells old & unwanted fishing tackle to support the Air Ambulance Service. If you have any tackle in usable condition, then please contact Bill Hanson.

Remedial work at Colber Bridge: The first part of this work has been completed but there will be more work in 2025. Please check back here for updates next season.
Please Note: The work to remove the dangerous trees on Spring Lake at Mappowder has been completed today – thanks to all members for your patience.
Members will be aware that Wood Lane is closed when there are matches taking place on the opposite bank at Upper Colber.   A marker post has been installed at the top limit of the match stretch on the Wood Lane bank.
Please note that Mappowder Lakes have now reopened. No signs of contagious disease have been found. Thanks for your patience.

Riverfest July 20/21 2024: The prestigious Riverfest will be held on the River Stour for the first time and our Club are pleased to host it.
